Adapted floor hockey team remains undefeated

Lead Summary

The New Prague adapted floor hockey team defeated Burnsville/Lakeville/Farmington, 8-2, Monday, Feb. 7 to remain undefeated.
Ray Parker led the Trojan offense with four goals. Aaron Adamson and Dylan Raaen each scored two goals.
“We knew heading into this game that it was going to be tough, Lakeville was the only undefeated team left in our division and we knew it would be a tight game all around. Our defense stepped up again and really made the difference,” coach Jeremy Kalal said. “We just don't allow that many shots to get to our goalie, our defense is fast and effective and our offense capitalizes on opportunities when they pop up. We did a great job controlling the majority of the game and frustrating any offense they tried to apply."
Landon Malecha won the game in goal, allowing only two goals in 10 shots on goal.
Parker added two assists and Adamson, Raaen, and Evan Minor each added one assist.
Assists by: Ray Parker (2), Evan Minar (1), Dylan Raaen (1), Aaron Adamson (1)
“This win feels great for our team and sets us up nicely heading into the final few games of the season,” Kalal said. “Our kids have worked really hard and deserve this success and hopefully we can keep things going strong into the playoffs and then the state tournament.”
